*** FREE COURSE***<br /><br />The Virginia State Police would like to invite you to participate in a free motorcycle self assessment course.<br /><br />Ride your motorcycle as you learn and practice rider safety through the use of S.I.P.D.E (Scan, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute) process.<br /><br />Learn how to handle Hazards, Special Situations, Interstate Highways, Curve Negotiation and much more.<br /><br />All of this in a safe environment with the assistance of the Virginia State Police motor troopers. Space is limited to 30 riders for this event, so please register early.<br /><br />IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a riding skills assessment for the civilian rider given free of charge by the Virginia State Police Motor Unit. It will run from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the date for which you register.<br /><br />The class will be held at Steel Horse Harley Davidson 11501 Hull Street Rd. Midlothian VA 23112. You must have a valid operator’s license with a Class ‘M’ endorsement, appropriate riding attire, and helmet and eye protection.<br /><br />Motorcycles must be street legal and helmets must be DOT approved to participate in this program.<br /><br />VSP and Steel Horse Harley Davidson and its affiliates, owning group, and employees reserve the right to disqualify any person who signs up and arrives without the above or behaves in such a way as to become a safety concern.<br /><br />A liability waiver will be signed at the beginning of the program releasing the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Department of State Police and its members, and Steel Horse Harley Davidson and its affiliates, owning group, and employees. Should there be inclement weather, you will notified of any potential cancellation as soon as possible.<br /><br />If you are unable to attend, please log on to your EventBrite Account and cancel your ticket before the class date so that the attendance can be adjusted. You will be notified by email at least one day prior to the event.
